Malta/moths on my mind
The day began yesterday pretty much like every other one: get up, check the email, news, & blog, save for Trish having the day off, which meant cold cereal -- we finished off the toasty-o's -- instead of a breakfast of pancakes. Since Trish had an appointment with Charlene Upstairs we were going to go to the PPL, but a phone conversation revealed that they weren't open. I stayed in the outer office while Trish talked with her therapist, up to the time Car-girl picked me up to go to Kame-Apart for bug spray. We'd planned to spray the damn moths that very day, but when Car-girl read the instructions, it said we needed to extinguish all pilot lights, so instead we went to pick up Trish.
I had my dental work done that day, & we allowed 2 hours to reach Malta, but stopped at McRonald's for a Bozo Burger, after stopping at the bank to take out $40 for the trip. We stopped at Dodson for a potty break & Trish bought a bunch of snack food, including Frito's & pop for me, as I'd payed for lunch & Car-girl had already paid me back.
When we arrived Car-girl went to fill her gas tank, but we were 10 minutes early & they hadn't opened the office yet. The job took about an hour, then we went down Dawn's Highway toward the setting sun. We stopped at Harlem, where Trish bought some yogurt-covered raisins. When we came home we bought a veggie sandwich at Subway, to take home, then took another $20 out of the Drive-thru at Iron Claw Credit Union, as I wanted some grocery money for the weekend.
After she went downstairs to bring up Say Bra's tape, Trish wanted me to call Ed about turning on & off the pilot lights. Denise answered the phone, just when company arrived there. Trish found Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy on cable, & we waited for Ed to return the call. Trish also called Karen over it, & we finally agreed to pay Fred a little bit to do it, which he was amenable to, so today, once Trish leaves for work, Fred & I will be Hot Shotting the place. I just hope that we can keep him amused for 2 hours while the bug spray does its work. The ideal thing would be to go to a restaurant & drink pop for awhile, & I may need a Bozo Burger while I wait, but it's going to be difficult to get Fred to do that.
